Sines-Badajoz

INTRODUCTION

The CALSIBA project (Sines-Badajoz Logistics Atlantic Corridor) is a cross-border cooperation project, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), EP-INTERREG VA Spain-Portugal (POCTEP), which promotes the development of the border areas of Spain and Portugal.

The objective of the project is to improve interoperability in the logistics corridor between Sines-Badajoz, which is part of the Atlantic Corridor (EU TEN-T network), through the development and application of ICTs, supporting the competitiveness of cross-border companies to achieve the reduction of administrative burdens, the simplification of customs procedures and the dynamization of the logistics chain, implementing an innovative solutions in the transport of goods.

PROJECT GOALS

CALSIBA is a clear commitment to contribute to the positioning of Euroace as a gateway to Europe. The Sines-Badajoz Atlantic Corridor is presented as a competitive solution for the industrial revitalization of the Euroregion.

Partners

It is a joint project between the regions of Extremadura, Alentejo and central Portugal, in which two partners participate, on the part of Extremadura, the public entity Extremadura Avante SLU and on the Portuguese side the Administration of the Ports of Sines and del Algarve, SA

Activities

The CALSIBA project will carry out various activities in which different actors involved in multimodal transport processes will participate.
